Percy Jackson & Mythology

Step into a world of gods, monsters, and modern-day heroes in this one-week co-ed summer adventure inspired by Percy Jackson and classic mythology! Students will explore Greek myths, legendary creatures, and epic quests through creative projects, games, storytelling, and hands-on activities. Participants will decode ancient legends, design their own heroes, and discover how mythological stories still shape books, movies, and culture today. Perfect for curious minds, big imaginations, and anyone ready to answer the call of adventure.

Create & Give Back Craft Class

Join us for a fun and meaningful Summer Craft Class where creativity meets sustainability! In this hands-on workshop, participants will use recycled and repurposed materials to craft beautiful and functional items. Not only will you learn new crafting techniques, but you'll also create projects that will be donated to local service initiatives, making a positive impact in the community. We’ll explore lyrics, melody, harmony, and basic song structure through listening activities, creative challenges, and interactive composition. Basketball Basics: Skills & Drills
Open to: Girls grades 3-7

Team up with our Middle School Basketball coach for a week of fun while learning and practicing your basketball skills, including dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding, defense, footwork, and court awareness! These critical aspects of the game allow players to effectively handle the ball, move around the court and score points. No experience needed.

Hooked on Crochet

Whether you’re brand new to crochet or already hooked, this weeklong summer class has something for you! Students will learn how to crochet—or level up the skills they already have—while making colorful, cozy, and creative projects. Beginners will master basic stitches, while more experienced crocheters can try new patterns and techniques. Along the way, students will design their own creations, swap ideas, and discover how fun and awesome fiber art can be.

Watercolors & Wetlands

Discover the delicate technique of watercolor painting and the wonder and beauty of the wetlands! Students will explore the unique plants and views around the Montrose campus and use them as inspiration for their artwork. Young artists will develop their skills through painting and crafts as art and nature intertwine in beautiful projects to bring home.

Field Hockey: Learn to Play - Summer Skills Week

This weeklong field hockey class is perfect for beginners who want to learn the game in a playful, encouraging environment! Students will learn the basics of stick handling, passing, dribbling, shooting, and teamwork through fun drills and games. Sew Much Fun! A Sewing Masterclass for Everyone (limited to 8 students)

Whether you are a beginner or have sewn before- we’ll explore all of the details in sewing!  Learn to create different types of projects and add your own personal style to them. We will learn about different types of fabrics and how to choose the right one for your projects.  We will start with basic projects and build from there - you will learn how to embellish with trims, buttons, zippers, decorative hand stitching, and so much more!

Lights up! This high-energy, one-week musical theater class invites performers to step into the spotlight as we bring iconic movie moments to life—Broadway style. From beloved blockbusters to dazzling stage adaptations, students will sing, dance, and act their way through favorite screen-to-stage hits while learning how to perform in a musical revue. Students will explore choreography, character work, vocal performance, and ensemble collaboration in a fun, supportive all-girls environment. The week culminates in a polished musical review showcase, celebrating confidence, creativity, and the magic of musical theater. No matter your experience level, this class is your chance to shine, tell bold stories, and feel the thrill of Broadway—no ticket required!

  • Courses are offered for students ranging from grades 3 through 12. 
  • Some courses are all-girls while others are co-ed.
  • Most courses are taught by Montrose faculty, staff or alumnae.
  • The cost for each course is listed in the course description.
  • Courses meet from 9:00 AM-12:00 PM or 1:00-4:00 PM. Students who take both morning and afternoon classes will be supervised during the lunch break.
